How do you renew an EMS certification in Michigan?

Michigan recertifies every three years on an independent state pathway. The hours by topic category are MFR/EMR 15, EMT 30, EMT-Specialist (AEMT) 36 and paramedic 45, or a Michigan-approved refresher instead. BLS/CPR is required and online-only CPR is not accepted, and every level needs at least one pediatric credit. The renewal application is mailed about 60 days before expiration.
