Your CurrentCert data

What CurrentCert stores, how document scanning works, how sharing works, and the controls you have. This is the same text shown inside the app.

What is stored

CurrentCert stores the profile, credentials, continuing education, documents and sharing links you create. Sign-in uses your CurrentCert account, including Sign in with Apple where you choose it. Records and uploaded documents are associated with that account.

First-party usage events record app openings, scan outcomes and packet or sharing actions to measure reliability. These events contain no certificate text or document contents and are removed when you delete your account.

Document recognition

When AI scanning is connected, the selected image or PDF is sent through CurrentCert to OpenAI to extract fields and supporting text. CurrentCert requests that the API response not be stored; provider retention policies still apply. Scan contents are not written to CurrentCert logs or stored as documents until you save the record. Without the AI connection, basic English text recognition runs locally on your device and is labeled as a basic scan. Only scan request counts are retained for usage limits.

Sharing

Documents are private by default. Anyone with an active sharing link can access the selected information once recipient access is available. Links expire on the selected date and can be revoked from the sharing screen. Downloaded copies and sent email attachments cannot be recalled.

Your controls

You can export your professional record from Profile, delete individual documents, edit your records, and archive or restore credentials. Credential and CE edits preserve previous versions. Account deletion in Profile removes your professional records, history, documents and sharing links. Minimal purchase verification records remain to support restores and prevent fraudulent receipt reuse. Deleting CurrentCert does not delete your Apple account or any other sign-in account.

Purchases and reminders

When enabled, native purchases are processed by Apple. CurrentCert stores verification and access information, not payment card details. Native reminders are scheduled on your device; imported calendar events are managed by your calendar app.
