1. Who we are

CurrentCert is operated by Max Ballesteros, doing business as CurrentCert, in Texas. "We", "us" and "CurrentCert" mean that operator. Notices go to support@currentcert.com.

2. What CurrentCert is

CurrentCert is a personal credential tracker for EMS providers. The app stores the certifications, licenses, documents and continuing-education records you add, tracks their expiration dates, sends reminders, and lets you share your record with people you choose. The website publishes plain-language information about EMS recertification rules. CurrentCert is a record-keeping tool. It does not issue, renew, verify or guarantee any certification or license, and it is not affiliated with the National Registry, any state EMS office, or any card issuer.

3. Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for everything done through your account.

4. Trial, purchase and what happens after

1. Every new account gets 14 days of full access with no payment method required.
2. CurrentCert is unlocked by a one-time purchase made through Apple's App Store: $29.99 during the founding window, $39.99 after it. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
3. When the trial ends without a purchase, nothing is deleted. You can still sign in and view every credential and document you stored. Adding credentials, scanning, logging CE, expiration reminders, credential packets and sharing pause until you unlock the app.
4. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple through its refund process; CurrentCert does not process payments or hold card details.
5. Prices may change for new purchases. A price change never affects an unlock you have already bought.

5. Your content

Everything you add to CurrentCert stays yours. You give us only the license we need to store it, process it (including scanning), display it to you, and send it to the people you tell us to. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or show it publicly. You confirm that you have the right to store and share what you upload, and that it is your own record or one you are authorized to hold.

6. Scanning and accuracy

When AI scanning is connected, an image or PDF you select is sent through CurrentCert to OpenAI to extract fields, as described in our privacy page. Extraction can be wrong. CurrentCert asks you to confirm every extracted field before it is saved, and nothing uncertain is saved on its own. You are responsible for the accuracy of your record, including numbers, dates and the credentials you choose to track. Reminders are scheduled from the dates you confirmed; a wrong date produces a wrong reminder.

7. Sharing

You decide who receives your record and how. Email attachments and downloaded packets cannot be recalled once sent. Secure links expire on the date you set and can be revoked from the sharing screen; until then, anyone holding the link can view what you shared. Recipients who view a shared link are bound by section 10 and may not use what they see for any purpose other than the one you shared it for.

8. Reminders and reliance

Reminders are a convenience, delivered on a best-effort basis through your device's notification system. Notifications can be delayed, silenced by your device settings, or missed. You remain responsible for knowing when your own credentials expire and for renewing them on time. CurrentCert is not liable for a lapsed certification, a missed renewal, lost work, or any consequence of relying on a reminder that did not arrive.

9. The recertification guide

The renewal information on this website is compiled from state agency and National Registry sources and checked against them on the date shown on each page, as described in our editorial standards. It is guidance, not the regulation, and not legal advice. Rules change, agencies apply them case by case, and the issuing agency's answer is the one that counts. Confirm with the agency before relying on any figure, deadline or fee published here.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use CurrentCert to store or share a credential you are not entitled to hold, to misrepresent your qualifications, to access another person's record without their permission, to interfere with the service, or to break any law. We may suspend or close an account used in these ways.

11. Deleting your account

You can export your record and delete your account from Profile at any time. Deletion removes your professional records, history, documents and sharing links. Minimal purchase verification records remain to support restores and prevent fraudulent receipt reuse. Deleting CurrentCert does not delete your Apple account or any other sign-in account.

12. The app and Apple

1. These terms are between you and Max Ballesteros, doing business as CurrentCert, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
2. Your license to the app is limited, non-transferable, and for use on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.
3. We, not Apple, are responsible for maintenance and support, for any product warranty to the extent one is not disclaimed below, and for addressing any claim that the app infringes a third party's rights or fails to conform to a legal requirement. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
4. You confirm you are not in a country under a U.S. government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
5. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they relate to the app and may enforce them against you.

13. No warranty

CurrentCert is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scanning, reminders or the guide will be accurate.

14. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from CurrentCert is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including lost income, a lapsed credential, or lost data. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and a material change is announced in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use CurrentCert after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
