How do you renew an EMS certification in Maryland?

Maryland recertifies every three years through MIEMSS. Pathway A is current NREMT. Pathway B is 24 hours of state CE, 15 in designated categories and up to 9 flexible or skills hours. Both pathways also require the three most recent annual Medical Protocol Updates and affiliation with an EMS Operational Program. EMTs also reference a 12-hour skills refresher.
