How do you renew an EMS certification in Louisiana?
Louisiana requires NREMT and uses the NCCP totals of 16, 40, 50 and 60 hours with a Louisiana local matrix (LCCR) of 4 hours for EMR, 10 for EMT, 12.5 for AEMT and 15 for paramedic. EMT, AEMT and paramedic licenses run three years and expire March 31; EMR runs two years and expires September 30. CPR is required at every level and ACLS for paramedics.
