How do you renew an EMS certification in Indiana?
Indiana renews EMS certifications every two years through the Department of Homeland Security using the Acadis system, with current NREMT as one pathway. On the state path the official CE report forms require 20 hours for an EMR, 40 for an EMT, 50 for an AEMT (27.5 hours national component plus 22.5 state component) and 72 for a paramedic (50 hours of refresher or hospital-approved education plus 22 additional hours, 12 of them audit and review).
