Often, yes, but each issuer decides for itself. The National Registry accepts State-EMS-Office-approved and CAPCE-accredited courses, EMS education program credit and accredited academic credit, all related directly to EMS patient care. A state accepts what its own rule says. When one course sits in both lists, the same hours count toward both renewals.

What does NREMT accept?

What does NREMT not accept?
Duplicate courses, clinical rotations, instructor courses, management or leadership courses, performance of duty, preceptor hours, serving as a skills examiner, and volunteer time with agencies.
Which states say they accept CAPCE education?
On the pages verified so far: Kansas, Massachusetts, Texas. Other states may accept it under different wording; the state page and the official renewal link are the place to check.
