Texas Paramedic Launches CurrentCert, a Provider-Owned Credential Wallet for EMTs and Paramedics

AUSTIN, Texas, September 15, 2026. CurrentCert, a provider-owned professional credential wallet and continuing-education tracker built first for EMTs and paramedics, is now available for iPhone on the App Store and on the web at currentcert.com.
CurrentCert helps EMS professionals scan and organize credentials, track expiration dates and continuing education, and share their professional record, without relying on an employer to maintain it. Users scan credential cards, screenshots and PDFs; keep licenses, certifications, CE, expiration dates and credential documents together in one record; see what needs attention next; log continuing education and track it toward supported renewal requirements; and share multiple credentials in one email, a professional credential packet, or a secure link.
Many credential-management systems are built around an employer or agency roster. CurrentCert is built around the individual professional. An employer does not need to subscribe, create an account, or maintain the provider's record for CurrentCert to work. The record stays with the clinician when they change employers, work for multiple agencies, move states, apply for another role, prepare for recertification, respond to an audit, or send credentials to a new employer.

CurrentCert was founded by Max Ballesteros, a Texas paramedic currently working in flight medicine and search and rescue, whose EMS career has included ocean rescue, fire service, ground EMS, hospital care and critical-care transport. After years of tracking down certifications and continuing-education records across camera rolls, personal email, work email, employer portals and cloud folders, Ballesteros began building CurrentCert.
At launch CurrentCert recognizes NREMT EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, ITLS, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), FP-C and CCP-C, and Texas EMT, AEMT and Paramedic licenses; other credentials can be entered manually. CurrentCert does not issue, verify or replace any credential.
CurrentCert is available for iPhone and on the web with a 14-day free trial and no card required. The founding price is $29.99 one time, with a planned standard individual price of $39.99 one time. There is no individual subscription.
