Maximiliano "Max" Ballesteros is a Texas paramedic currently working in flight medicine and search and rescue. His EMS career has included ocean rescue, fire service, ground EMS, hospital care, and critical-care transport.

After years of repeatedly tracking down certifications and continuing-education records across camera rolls, personal email, work email, employer portals, and cloud folders, Ballesteros began building CurrentCert. The catalyst came after leaving an employer and realizing that some professional certifications he had earned were stored in a work email account he could no longer access. That experience shaped the core CurrentCert philosophy: the professional owns the record.
